I saw the concert leaflet of the two Swiss bands Before The Decay and Wrath Of Alga in the social network Facebook by accident. Giving unknown bands a chance is very important to keep alive the music scene. Therefore I was curious about the performances of the local act Wrath Of Alga with headliner Before The Decay at Rockfact Music Club. Further it’s always great again to check out harder sound of Metalcore. You got the permision to enter at 8 pm. Shortly after, Wrath Of Alga had the honor to open the evening. The band exists for a

short time and I knew their brand but I wasn’t familiar with their music. It started with „The Rise of Alga“. Singer Sebastian Denzler showed a great vocal performance with screaming and there were no clean vocals. The guitarrist Marco di Pinto (ex-Sweet Massacre) y Sergio Rui (ex-Falldown) provided the fat riffs whereby Sergio shined with guitar solos. In addition, both introduced breakdowns into the sound time and time again. The sound had an enormous groove and it was real fun to watch the guys. The first published single „Imprisoned by hate“ followed and was well-received with the statement „Fuck Corona“. Bassist Mike Vega left the stage here to walk through the crowd and returned on stage again. A little circle pit occured during „Power of will“. The catchy song „Free yourself“ was eagerly awaited and belongs to the hits of the group. Sebastian said thank you to the organizer for the oportunity to perform live after „Caught in a web“ and led over to the last song „Last Trial“. The members wanted to leave but encores were demanded. „The Weight of the World“ was performed for the very first time and the spectators were asked to clap with their hands and had to give all again. A great gesture to end an appearance with a new song. Singer Sebastian Denzler, the guitarrists Marco di Pinto and Sergio Rui, Bassist Mike Vega and drummer Dani Berger received applause for this. Headliner Before The Decay was on stage at 10:15 pm. The band from Aargau with singer Stefanie Arnold started to perform with „Deception“. What stood out was a second singer in their lineup. Sebastian Stocker cared about the gutural and growl parts while Stefanie sang clearly. A new song was played with „By Your Hand“. Another newer song „Visions“ got played. The music was more varied in contrast to the previous band by the integration of synthesizers and samples. Stefanie went to the audience during „Keep Us Alive“. She, gitarrist Jun Naef and some spectators started a polonaise and it seemed pretty cool. Guitar player Jun contributed fat guitar riffs which flattened everything that stood in their way. Moreover, he showed his dexteriority with guitar solos he played without a pic. There were also some side changes of the members on stage. They wanted to say goodbye after „Void“ and it was prevented with encore demands. The persistent spectators enjoyed „Disobey“. singer Sebastian, singer Stefanie, guitarist Jun, bassist Lukas and drummer Raphael received a lot of applause for their great performance.
