The Möles (SWI), SiN69 (SWI)
Presented by Rockfact Music Club & IRON-T21
A round of kick ass rock is always good for the soul. It’s been a while since such an event took place at Rockfact Music Club and it was time for a change. It’s awesome that the local rock band The Möles announced a gig in Münchenstein. SiN69 was added to the program as a supporting band. A reason to make a pilgrimage to this place and stock up with good music and experience beautiful moments. SiN69 started to perform after the doors opened at 8:45 pm. I didn't know this band at all. However, they’ve a well- known musician with Michael Vaucher (Emerald) in their lineup. The five- piece from Freiburg started with "Evil's Place" and showed the musical direction: Rock with Heavy Metal influences found its way into the ears and heads of the audience. During the concert Michael Vaucher could prove his finger skills with guitar solos and he looked great in the spotlight. Further
he looked for contact with bassist Pesche Liechti for guitar duels. It was remarkable that the voice of lead singer Marina Schaller was in the foreground and she did a good job the microphone. Thomas Schaller on acoustic guitar accompanied her vocally. In my opinion it was a bit of a shame his voice went down live a little bit, but the performance was professional and played flawless by the band members. A power ballad followed with „Home“ where you could take a little breath and the velocity slowed down. Marina's statement about the merchandise received positive feedback, because besides CD's and T-shirts you could buy underwear with the band trademark for ten Swiss francs. The audience enjoyed the new song "Dust to Dust", which was well received. The catchy sound was convincing and the band anthem "Sin69" marked the end of the concert. They left a good impression at their first show in the canton of Basel-Country. Setlist SiN69 Evil’s Place Drake Around the World Stop Fighting On the Run Angels crying Home Hang it up Dust to Dust Guardian Angel Sin69 An interruption occured and the stage was rearranged. Lastly it was the turn of headliner The Möles at 10:05 pm. They left a sensational impression at their last gig at Rockfact as support band of Bad Ass Romance. Therefore I was curious how the trio from Laufen would present themselves this evening. After the departure of drummer Dan Probst, Pascal Kohler (Snakeskin Boozeband) sat behind the drums. "Can't Ever Get Enough" rang out and the band really stepped on the gas. Guitarist and singer Marc Schmidlin shone with his guitar solos and his voice. He sought contact with bassist Andreas Metzger (White Thrash Trailer Park) to compete in dexterity again and again. Action was the correct word for the show. Their AC/DC and Airbourne influenced party rock sound caused great moments and brought joy and smiles into the spectator’s faces. You could feel the passion and joy that Marc & his musical comrades-in-arms integrated tonight and earned a lot of applause. A selection of songs from their two previous albums "Premium Spirit" and "Out of Control" was celebrated. Active on the stages for 15 years, but not a bit tired. Marc asked the fans to sing along with the words "Cat In The Heat" which they managed well. During "Walking Valley" the chorus was sung along loudly in the front row. This was amazing from the enthusiastic supporters. A newer song called "No Man Left Behind" was presented and was well received. Clapping along was the order of the day with "Shortcut" and the audiovisual fun got even better with the motto "Rock'n'Roll Is All We Need". "No Way Out" should have ended the gig and the band members wanted to leave the stage. However, the Kick Ass Rock fire was still glowing and that's why encores were demanded. The band returned on stage and played the encores "Cold Blonde" over beer and "All Or Nothing", which was dedicated to Snakeskin Boozeband singer Lukas Franz, who was in the front row in front of the stage and expressed his gratitude with a big smile. After that Marc, Andreas and Pascal left the stage once more. However, some spectators wanted hear more encores and weren‘t satisfied yet. The persistence paid off and the third encore "Down on A Line" was played. The show came to an end and the group The Möles said goodbye with a bow to the enthusiastic audience. This evening they kicked ass again. From my point of view, more spectators could have attended this event. The sound was very good and the two sound mixers Jerry Thomas Ferrat and Tobias Schäublin were the responsible.
