IRON SAW BLADE
Shah Blah (SWI), Tubekillers (SWI)
Presented by Rockfact Music Club & IRON-T21
Rockfact Music Club, Münchenstein, Switzerland – 29.03.2025
You find a treasure by accident. This happened to the association IRON-
T21 when some members found a band called Shah Blah at concerts and
they liked the overall impression. That’s the reason why the got a show at
Rockfact Music Club in Münchenstein. Tubekillers was added to the
program as support act. A rock night of a different kind, which aroused my
interest. That's why I attended the event. The doors opened at 8 pm and
30 minutes later the members of Tubekillers took their positions on
stage. It was their first appearance after a long break. I was looking
forward to their performance. „Magnifique“ was played as first song. Singer
& Guitarrist Shiro did a great vocal performance and convinced with stage
presence. Furthermore he controlled his instrument and sought contact
with his fellow string mate Christian again and again. He was completely immersed in the universe of sound, but showed
his attention through movements and changed his position to compete with bassist Boris to see who could present
themselves more casually in the spotlight. The focus was on the latest album “10,000 AC”, but an older song “Maybe” was
included in the set, which hadn’t been played for 10 years according to Christian. This was a great surprise and provided
a lot of enthusiasm to the audience. It's also a clever move to integrate older songs into the set and give them more
space and attention again. During “Long Time Ago”, Shiro announced “here comes something slow and you can get out
your lighters”. In contrast to lighters, the cell phones were pulled out, the flashlights activated and the devices waved
from left to right to the slow beat. Shiro and his colleagues were delighted with the commitment. There was a trip into
the world of physical activities with “Supersports”. Then came the announcement “it’s time for the last song” with “The
Call”. It was played, but when you looked at the set list, you could see one more song. “Encore” shouts towards members
changed their minds and played the harder and rocky ‘The Sky is too high’. Shiro, Christian, Boris and Erik said goodbye
after a 60 minutes performance. They made a good impression.

A short interruption followed and the stage was rearranged for headliner Shah Blah. I used the moment to chat with
friends and looked forward to the next band.
“Blabla, Yamaha or Nada?” These words were running through my head when suddenly live music was on again at 10
pm. I was completely wrong, because the group is called Shah Blah. They are from the canton of Bern and celebrate a
very exotic form of music that you don't hear and experience every day. If you had to describe it, it would be an
extraterrestrial with a Ziggy Stardust look who crashed his spaceship to earth about 55/60 years ago due to dead
batteries and inhaled the psychedelic 70s and rocking 90s. On trips to the eskimos, he stole a few fur coats and picked up
a brown leather jacket with a glam rock vibe in a boutique in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, as well as sporty accessories for
jogging. That was my impression when Tinu, Dominic, Federico and Sebi stood on stage and took us on a cosmic trip to
faraway places with their very reverb-influenced sound and rhythm changes. Singer Tinu with a sporty appearance, did
most of the singing, but his two band mates Dominic on bass and Federico on guitar were allowed to support him with
their voices. I was glad the sound was presented in a very catchy and exciting way and this was reflected in the attentive
faces in the audience. The entire sense of time was suspended during the performance and the audience fell into a kind
of trance. The appearance of a hungry undead changed it and we returned to reality with “Zombie”. The whole set was
played. The performance turned out very well and was absolutely professional. The members Tinu, Dominic, Sebi and
Federico said goodbye and received applause. It would be great if this group were included in the program of the “Up in
Smoke” festival at the venue Z7 in Pratteln.

Conclusion: It was an interesting rock night of a different kind that we were able to experience that night. It was great to
enjoy a change of pace. Sound engineer Jerry Thomas Ferrat was responsible for the flawless sound behind the controls.
He was also responsible for the lighting.
